Hi, I’m Melissa.

Welcome!

My early childhood experiences, both directly and those I witnessed, deeply impacted who I am today. Unforeseen events and stressors led to a desire to better understand others and help them through their own life altering events. I have always naturally gravitated towards helping and caregiving, both with animals and people.

I attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, earning my Master’s of Science in Psychology in 2016. As an undergrad I studied Psychology and Religious Studies. I became a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist in 2018, opening my own practice in 2019. Since I began my clinical work in 2013, have since worked with children in K12 schools, individuals in episodes of psychosis and their families, community mental health clinics, and private practice. I love what I do, even in its most challenging moments.

Outside of work, you’ll find me outside with my dog, reading a book, working on a new knitting project, playing piano, or spending time with loved ones. I adore animals, cold coffee, going to concerts, and laughing. I look forward to meeting you and getting the honor to help you.
